What makes the FireMist™ Diffuser unique?

Can I leave my FireMist™ Diffuser outside?

The FireMist™ features a water-resistant finish, meaning it can handle light moisture and outdoor humidity. However, it is not waterproof, so avoid submerging it or leaving it exposed to heavy rain or standing water.

How long does it take to fully charge?

A full charge typically takes about 1.5 – 3 hours depending on your charging source. USB-C charging speed is limited by a three-way "handshake" between the power adapter, the cable, and the device, which determines the highest compatible power (wattage) they can all handle together through a process called USB Power Delivery (PD). Key limits include the adapter's wattage, the cable's ability to carry the current without voltage drop due to its length and quality, and the device's maximum power input. Once charged, it’s ready to go wherever you are. 

Can I use distilled or filtered water in my diffuser?

No, distilled or filtered water is not recommended for use with the diffuser. The ultrasonic technology inside the unit relies on the natural minerals found in regular tap water to generate mist properly. Using distilled or highly filtered water can reduce mist output or prevent the diffuser from operating as intended. For the best performance, use clean, room-temperature tap water up to the indicated fill line.

How does the FireMist™ create its flame effect?

The flame-like glow comes from an LED light combined with the moving vapor mist, giving it the illusion of a gentle, realistic flame without heat.

What should I do if my diffuser stops producing mist?

Try cleaning the ultrasonic plate with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol, refill with fresh, lukewarm tap water, and ensure it’s charged. Most performance issues resolve when it’s clean and the temperature of the water is not too cold.

Can I use any essential oils with FireMist™?

Yes, FireMist™ is compatible with all pure essential oils and blends. For best performance, use high-quality, pure essential oils. 

What should I do if the faux flame is very faint or hard to see?

If the flame effect appears dim, first ensure the light setting is turned on. Try using the diffuser in a darker environment to see the full flame effect; it’s intentionally soft to mimic a natural flicker. If it still seems faint, check the water level is within the fill line and the mist outlet is clean. Cleaning can often restore full brightness.

Can I use FireMist™ without essential oils?

Yes! You can use FireMist™ as a simple humidifier or visual mood enhancer without adding any oils. Just tap water for a soft mist and ambient glow.

Does it have an automatic shut-off feature?

Yes. For safety and peace of mind, FireMist™ automatically shuts off when the water level is low.

How should I clean and maintain the FireMist™ Diffuser?

Empty the water tank after each use and wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. For a deeper clean, rinse with a little vinegar and water weekly to prevent buildup.

Is FireMist™ safe to use around pets or children?

When used properly and in well-ventilated spaces, FireMist™ is safe. However, always diffuse pet- and child-safe essential oils, follow dilution guidelines, and place the diffuser out of reach of children and pets.
