Hi! I’m a coach, athlete and professional bike fitter living in Salt Lake City, Utah. I started my athletic journey at six years old, swimming under the direction of decorated Olympic coaches Richard Quick and David Marsh. Little did I know that the positive influence from my youth sports coaches would help shape my future as a professional triathlon and strength coach.
Triathlon entered my life at age 14 when my family raced together in our first sprint distance triathlon as a relay. At age 47 I’m still active racing mostly Ironman distance triathlons. My favorite race of all time was hands down 2017 Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
The journey to Ironman was not a direct path! In fact, Ironman triathlon was the impetus for healing from physical and emotional trauma experienced from domestic violence abuse. Ironman training 16-20 hours a week became a gift to really show up and discover a life beyond being a victim. I now support other women beginning their own personal journey through recovery from domestic violence and sexual abuse.
I coach athletes with a holistic approach blending my background as an athlete, triathlon coach, yoga teacher, strength coach and nutrition coach. I teach the athletes to treat their recovery from training sessions with even more priority than the actual training itself!
NOW® is present throughout my daily regime of healthy eating and training, and I’m proud to be a NOW® Ambassador.
