About Buffy Stahl
Buffy Stahl is the Global Business Development Leader for the DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences. She holds a degree in Genetics from University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining DuPont, Ms. Stahl worked in Research and Development in the Biotechnology industry focusing on microbial genomics and genetic engineering. In 2009, Ms. Stahl joined DuPont to work on a pioneering technology known as CRISPR, contributing to early research on the mechanism of action for the revolutionary genetic engineering tool. She then held progressive technology leadership roles supporting Genomics and Microbiome research across the Nutrition & Biosciences businesses, with much of the focus on probiotic innovation. In her current role, Ms. Stahl identifies and manages new business opportunities, evaluates external technologies, works with strategic partners on collaborative science and product development and drives the 5-year innovation roadmap for Probiotics internally. She also serves on the USP Expert Panel for Probiotics to improve and document the safety and efficacy of DuPont microbial strains, and develop new standards for the industry.
