This snackable recipe features a scrumptious mix of sweet-tart apples, enhanced with a touch of coconut sugar and vanilla, topped with a crunchy, nutty layer of rolled oats and walnuts, all sweetened with BetterStevia®  English Toffee Sweetener. It’s a warm, comforting treat, combining wholesome ingredients like almond butter and coconut oil. Whether served hot from the oven or enjoyed as a chilled snack, it’s a healthier snack or dessert option for satisfying a sweet tooth.

Ingredients
3 ½ cups diced sweet-tart apples (peeled or unpeeled)
1 teaspoon teaspoon arrowroot powder (or cornstarch)
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ½ tablespoons natural unsweetened almond butter
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon sea salt
¼ cup either chopped Walnuts, Raw & Unsalted

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 4 8-ounce ramekins with oil or nonstick cooking spray and arrange on a baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, combine the diced apples, coconut sugar, arrowroot powder and vanilla extract. Toss well then divide into ramekins. 
  3. Wipe out the bowl and stir together the coconut oil, almond butter, stevia, cinnamon and salt until well-combined. Stir in the oats and walnuts. Taste and add more stevia sweetener (a couple drops at a time), if desired. 
  4. Divide the crisp topping over the apples. Transfer ramekins to oven and bake for 45 to 50 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving, or cool completely before refrigerating to enjoy later.
