A mason jar salad is the perfect recipe to plan ahead and pack a healthy, portable salad for lunch. We take this simple salad to a new level with organic millet and a homemade sesame dressing. We all have busy schedules – with a little prep, this is a perfect healthy option for food on the go. When it’s time for lunch, just pour the dressing into the mason jar salad and give it a shake to combine well. Lunch is served!

Ingredients
Asian Sesame Mason Jar Salad
¼ cup baby kale
¼ cup carrots, shredded
¼ cup water chestnuts, chopped
2 tablespoons Sesame Oil Dressing

Homemade Sesame Oil Dressing
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon cinnamon
Directions

Prepare Salad

  1. In a mason jar, layer cooked organic millet, baby kale, carrots, water chestnuts, chopped tamari almonds, and sesame seeds.
  2. Add Homemade Sesame Oil Dressing.
  3. Close the lid and shake for one minute or until well blended.
  4. Serve & enjoy!

Prepare Dressing

  1. Place all ingredients in a mason jar.
  2. Mix for one minute or until well blended.
  3. Serve and enjoy.*
