My name is Brian Yensho II. I was born in Columbus, Ohio and lived in six different states. I currently reside in Indianapolis, Indiana where I am working and attending school. Growing up I have always tried to be very active and I was captain of my high school gymnastics team. I was a member of the Gymnastics Club Team at Indiana University where I earned two Bachelor’s Degrees, became a licensed USA Swimming and Diving Coach and was a Lifeguard Instructor for the American Red Cross at Indiana University. After completing my bachelor’s degrees at Indiana University, I transferred to Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana where I am currently finishing my Doctorate in Pharmacy. I am over half way finished with my current program and will be a Pharmacist very soon.
I am also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, a Spartan Racer and a Spartan Races Ambassador, and a member of the Corn Fed Spartans Racing Team (the largest Street Racing, Trail Racing, and OCR Racing Team in the entire United States).
Last year was my first competitive racing year and I finished 2016 by completing: 15 Half Marathons, 10 5k’s, and seven Obstacle Course Races (OCR’s), as well as running a total of over 2,000 miles and shedding over 60 pounds! This year my focus is more primarily on OCR’s, specifically Spartan Races, and I am extremely excited about this new challenge. My first two races this year are both in January 2017 – the Winter Night Trail Marathon in Indianapolis, Indiana and the Abominable Snow Race, one of the most difficult Winter OCR’s in the United States (Lake Geneva, Wisconsin).
I am honored to be selected as a NOW Ambassador and look forward to pushing myself to be my very best (and healthiest) athlete this year.
