Grilled BBQ Chicken with Southwestern Quinoa

1 ½ cups NOW® Low Sugar Homemade BBQ Sauce + 1 cup to glaze chicken

This quick-and-easy barbeque chicken dish doesn’t get much easier thanks to our Southwestern BBQ Q Cup™ Quinoa in a Cup. Chicken and quinoa combine to create a protein-packed entrée that’s exploding with flavor! Use your own low-sugar BBQ sauce, or use our NOW® Low-Sugar Homemade Barbeque Sauce.

BBQ Chicken:

  1. Preheat grill to 350° F
  2. Marinade chicken legs with homemade BBQ sauce for at least 1 hour.
  3. Place chicken legs on grill for 35 minutes; flip chicken legs occasionally to cook evenly.
  4. Glaze chicken legs with reserved BBQ sauce.
  5. Cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Add ½ cup boiling water to Southwestern BBQ Q Cup.
  7. Stir, cover with lid, and steep for 5 minutes. 
  8. Serve warm chicken on top of Southwestern Barbeque Q cup™ and enjoy!

 

Southwestern Quinoa:

  2. Stir, cover with lid, and steep for 5 minutes.
