Soufflé is one of France’s most well-known exports, and for good reason. Suitable as both a main dish and a dessert, light and fluffy soufflés are simply a joy to eat. We’re going sweet and citrusy with this sugar-free and gluten-free recipe, and replacing butter with our Coconut Infusions™ Non-Dairy Butter Flavored Coconut Oil.

  1. Preheat oven to 400° degrees.
  2. Rub the inside of ramekins (soufflé dishes) with ½ tablespoons butter infused coconut oil until lightly coated and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a small pot on medium heat, place butter infused coconut oil with flour and combine until the flour is fully incorporated.
  4. Add orange juice and continue to mix.
  5. Slowly add milk and combine until thick sauce is formed. Remove from heat.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine Sugarless Sugar, orange zest, and vanilla extract. Add in egg yolks and whisk until mixture is light and fluffy.
  7. Add milk mixture slowly until fully incorporated.
  8. In a separate bowl, whisk egg whites until a medium peak is formed.
  9. In thirds, using a spatula, combine egg white into soufflé batter.
  10. Pour batter into prepared ramekins until 2/3  full and bake in prepared oven for 10 minutes.
  11. Serve immediately and enjoy!
