Christmas Morning Sugar-Free Scones

After all the gifts have been opened, your family will still have a special treat to look forward to when you make these sugar-free scones a part of your Christmas morning. We’re balancing flavor and good health by replacing sugar with our Sugarless Sugar™ sugar replacement, and using Coconut Infusions™ Non-Dairy Butter Flavored coconut oil in place of other cooking oils.

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F. Cover sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a sauté pan on medium heat, place diced apple with water, lemon juice, cinnamon, and 1 tsp. Sugarless Sugar.
  3. Allow the apples to cook for 10 minutes or until softened and set aside to cool.
  4. In a large bowl combine all dry ingredients.
  5. Add butter infused coconut oil to dry ingredients and fully coat; be careful not to melt the oil.
  6. In a separate bowl whisk egg with milk.
  7. Pour into flour mixture and combine until dough is formed.
  8. Carefully fold in apples and combine for 1 minute.
  9. On a lightly floured surface, knead for 2 minutes and coat dough with flour.
  10. Roll out dough until it is approximately one foot long.
  11. Using a knife, cut dough into triangles.
  12. Place on prepared sheet pan.
  13. Cook for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  14. Serve warm and enjoy!
