NOW's D3 Rates Well in Consumer Reports

May 1, 2013

In May 2013, a consumer products testing organization released test results for Vitamin D dietary supplements, reporting whether or not the products met or exceeded their claimed levels of the vitamin, disintegrated or dissolved properly where applicable, and were well below the safe upper limit set by the Institute of Medicine. NOW Foods was pleased to see our Vitamin D3 Softgels was listed as the most affordable of the passing products in the natural channel. One store private label brand was less expensive, and 14 store and name brand products were more expensive than NOW’s. This reinforces that we are meeting our mission to empower people to lead healthier lives by making quality products affordable.

In addition, our Vitamin D3 was found to meet the California Proposition 65 lead limit for reproductive risk. Our state-of-the-art labs test for heavy metals and all of our products meet our safety levels for lead. NOW follows strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and has been GMP certified since the year 2000. Our own testing labs are among the most thorough and comprehensive in the dietary supplements industry.
