NOW® Foods named one of "Chicago's Best & Brightest Companies To Work For®"

Company honored for the eighth consecutive year

NOW® Foods has been selected, for the eighth year in a row, by the National Association of Business Resources (NABR) as one of the Best & Brightest Companies to Work For® in the Chicago area. This annual competition honors companies demonstrating an exceptional commitment to their employees, as reported by those employees, and exemplifying the best human resource practices. They’re passionate about building better business, creating richer lives and growing stronger communities. “We are honored that we’ve been repeatedly recognized for this achievement,” said NOW CEO Jim Emme. “As a family-owned company, we’re not only passionate about the affordable and high-quality products we bring to market, but we’re passionate about creating a work environment that empowers our employees to know they’re all a part of the company’s tremendous success. This award certainly belongs to them for their commitment to living our mission every day.”

Each company’s entry is evaluated by an independent research firm based on key measures in various categories which include Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions; Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention; Employee Education and Development; Recruitment, Selection and Orientation; Employee Achievement and Recognition; Communication and Shared Vision; Diversity and Inclusion; Work-Life Balance; Community Initiatives; and Strategic Company Performance. As part of the selection process, employees at each nominated company are randomly selected to complete a confidential survey about their work environment.

"Being selected for eight consecutive years is extremely humbling, but most importantly, we consider this a learning exercise in how we can continue to improve upon our HR practices to bring new opportunities and programs to our employees, based on their specific feedback,” added Emme.

NOW continues to find new and innovative ways to support their employees, and received highest marks in these categories this year:

  • Compensation, Benefits & Employee Solutions
  • Employee Achievement & Recognition
  • Communication & Shared Vision
  • Work-Life Balance
  • Community Initiatives
  • Strategic Company Performance
