NOW Foods Nominated for Nevada’s Global Corporate Citizen Award

Bloomingdale, IL (April 26, 2013) - NOW Foods is proud to have been nominated for the 2nd Annual Global Corporate Citizen Award, which is presented by the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN). NOW became a member of the Sparks, Nevada community in 2004 with the opening of our Western Distribution Center, which significantly expanded both our domestic and global service capabilities. With explosive growth over the past decade, NOW accelerated plans for a larger facility with the construction of a new 165,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution facility in Sparks in 2011. Although we did not win the award, NOW Foods President Jim Emme did accept a Certificate of Appreciation from EDAWN at the 14th Annual Global Gala on March 29 that was presented “In recognition of outstanding global vision an

d mission for the 2013 Corporate Global Citizen Nomination.” NOW was also presented with a Certificate of Senatorial Recognition from United States Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) and a Certificate of Commendation from 

United States Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) at the event.
