andrea nunez smith in now attireHi, I am Andrea Nunez-Smith, and I am a 24-year old competitive triathlete from Austin, Texas. I am currently training and working in St. George, Utah where I get to ride in the mountains, run on the trails, and swim in incredible lakes. I grew up swimming competitively from 4-18 years old and switched over to triathlons.

I have competed in tri’s for five years now. When I started triathlons I was eager to race a 70.3 (half ironman), so jumped right in and was able to qualify for the World Championships as the youngest athlete there. I went to compete at The University of Arizona for triathlon and also ran on their Division I Cross Country team. I graduated with a communications major and nutrition minor.

I fuel well for not only my sport, but for my health, happiness, and just because I feel better. As a nutrition minor I have learned how important it is to be able to fuel your body with the best and highest quality foods/products. Recovery Antioxidant Smoothies

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup cherries
  • dash of tumeric
  • dash of salt
  • 1 scoop of protein powder (eggwhite or pea)

Blend all together until smooth.


Recovery “Milkshake"

  • 1 cup almond or coconut milk 
  • 1/2 cup banana
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • honey or stevia
  • dash of nutmeg
  • 1 scoop of protein powder (eggwhite or pea)

Blend all together until smooth.
