Gourmet Rice (Rosemary Nisbet)
Ingredients
3 cups or 1 lb. ground beef and 1 cup TSP; or 1 ½ lbs. ground beef and reconstituted TSP Granules
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup
2 stalks celery, chopped
½ green pepper, chopped
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried thyme
2 teaspoons dried parsley
1 cup brown rice
2 Tbsp Ellyndale Organics™ Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  1. Cook vegetables in olive oil until soft.
  2. Add rest of ingredients except rice and cook uncovered approximately half an hour until thick.
  3. Serve over brown rice.

Note: The spices can be varied and fresh may be used in place of dried; just increase the amount of fresh by three times that of dried.
