Whole Wheat Raisin Cookies

Makes 36 cookies
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened (for a healthier butter, you may use “Betty’s Better Butter” recipe [found in Desserts category])
1/4 cup
pinch NOW Real Food® Sucanat™*
1/2 cup molasses
2 eggs
1 cup uncooked NOW Real Food® Organic Rolled Oats*
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries
1/2 teaspoon NOW Real Food® Organic Vanilla Extract*
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Optional: Approx. 1/2 Tablespoon orange zest (grated orange peel)
1/2 cup NOW Real Food® Walnuts*

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat all ingredients until well mixed, occasionally scraping the bowl. 
  3. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 1-inch apart, on cookie sheet. 
  4. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  5. Immediately remove cookies to wire racks; cool.
