Is your beet sugar processed using char or bone char?
No bone products are used in the processing of NOW's Beet Sugar or Sucanat® natural cane sugar.
Is your beet sugar genetically modified?
Although almost all of the NOW Real Food line is Non-GMO, we have been unable to find a consistent, high-quality source of non-GMO Beet Sugar. We are currently working with growers to identify a non-GMO Beet Sugar that meets our standards, and hope to have our entire food line non-GMO by the end of 2013.
