In today’s stress-filled world there’s nothing quite like a massage to relax the mind and body. Unfortunately, using chemical-laden mass market massage and personal care products can do as much harm as good. Mass-market personal care products, including massage oils, are formulated to help mask the effects of aging; but ironically, the synthetic ingredients, additives, and preservatives used in these products can actually have the opposite effect. These all-natural massage oils are infused with the powerful antioxidant benefits of natural Vitamin E, which helps to keep skin healthy by protecting the delicate elastin fibers that are the principal structural component of skin. Elastin gives skin its elastic properties, helping it to return to its original position after being physically manipulated. In doing so it keeps the skin firm and smooth, yet flexible. However, elastin is slowly depleted as we age so protecting it is important to help maintain the skin’s youthful properties as we age. Both oils also contain Jojoba Oil, which isn’t technically an oil, but a substance known as a wax ester. Unlike most oils, wax esters are almost identical to the sebum that’s naturally produced by the skin and scalp. Jojoba Oil is non-comedogenic; meaning it won’t clog pores, and is well-known for its ability to penetrate deep into the skin where its cell-renewing benefits are fully-realized. Pure Almond and Apricot Oils are included to help soften and moisturize the skin. A good massage oil should be pleasing to all the senses, which is why we’ve included natural Rose Oil in Tranquil Rose, and natural Vanilla Oil in Refreshing Vanilla Citrus. Rose Hip Seed Oil is included in both formulas to help keep skin cells hydrated, which can minimize the appearance of minor blemishes and imperfections.
