NOW® Foods was nominated by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County for this award.

NOW® Foods supports projects addressing environmental issues that also parallel the beliefs of the IPRA and the IAPD. 

NOW® Foods dedication to preserving and maintaining the forest preserve land adjacent to the Bloomingdale headquarters is demonstrated by holding regular volunteer workdays such as organized de-littering projects, in which all employees are encouraged to participate.

As a result of these concerted efforts to maintain the forest preserve south of the property, plans for 2001 are now underway to include more than de-littering projects.

 Volunteer clean up days are now evolving into natural resource management areas to involve such activities as vegetation planting and erosion control.

In 1968 NOW® Foods started with philosophies that support the growing consumer interest in nutritious products, thus the name, NOW - "Natural, Organic, and Wholesome."
