Gourmet Rice (Rosemary Nisbet)
|3 cups or 1 lb. ground beef and 1 cup TSP; or 1 ½ lbs. ground beef and reconstituted TSP Granules|
|Salt and pepper to taste|
|2 stalks celery, chopped|
|½ green pepper, chopped|
|1 teaspoon dried basil|
|1 teaspoon dried thyme|
|2 teaspoons dried parsley|
|1 cup brown rice|
|2 Tbsp Ellyndale Organics™ Extra Virgin Olive Oil|
- Cook vegetables in olive oil until soft.
- Add rest of ingredients except rice and cook uncovered approximately half an hour until thick.
- Serve over brown rice.
Note: The spices can be varied and fresh may be used in place of dried; just increase the amount of fresh by three times that of dried.
