Nut Cake

Adapted from Healthy,
1/2 cup wheat germ
2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 cup NOW Real Food® Sucanat™*
4 tbsp. poppy seeds
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup  Ellyndale™ Organic Canola Oil
2 tbsp. NOW Lecithin Granules*
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1/2 cup NOW Real Food® Walnuts*
1/4 cup NOW Real Food® Hulled Sesame Seeds*
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine the dry ingredients, then add the egg, milk, and oil; stir until just moist. 
  3. Pour into greased square pan. 
  4. Bake for 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
