Whole Wheat Raisin Cookies

Makes 36 cookies
|1/2 cup butter, softened (for a healthier butter, you may use “Betty’s Better Butter” recipe [found in Desserts category])|
|pinch NOW Real Food® Sucanat™*|
|1/2 cup molasses|
|1 cup uncooked NOW Real Food® Organic Quick-Cooking Rolled Oats*|
|3/4 cup whole wheat flour|
|3/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries|
|1/2 teaspoon NOW Real Food® Organic Vanilla Extract*|
|1/2 teaspoon salt|
|1/2 teaspoon baking soda|
|Optional: Approx. 1/2 Tablespoon orange zest (grated orange peel)|
|1/2 cup NOW Real Food® Walnuts*|
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat all ingredients until well mixed, occasionally scraping the bowl.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls, 1-inch apart, on cookie sheet.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Immediately remove cookies to wire racks; cool.
