Rice Griddle Cakes
Yields approximately 20 small cakes
| Ingredients |
| 1 cup cooked brown rice |
| 2 cups milk |
| ½ teaspoon salt |
| 1 tablespoon NOW Real Food® Turbinado Sugar* |
| 1½ cups sifted unbleached white flour |
| 2 teaspoons baking powder |
| 1 egg beaten |
- Soak cooked rice in 1 cup of milk overnight.
- Add salt, sugar, shortening, flour and baking powder.
- Beat the mixture well, then add egg and remaining cup of milk.
- Bake on hot, greased griddle.
