Quinoa Cereal with Fresh Fruit

Quinoa is a great way to add a complete protein to your healthy eating. One serving provides 76% of the Daily Value (DV) for health-promoting manganese and 39% DV for iron.

Serves 2

Ingredients
Quinoa:
1/2 cup NOW Real Food® Organic Quinoa*
1 cups water
sea salt to taste
Topping:
1/2 cup NOW Real Food® Rolled Oats*
1/2 cup blueberries
2 Tbsp. NOW Real Food® Raw Pumpkin Seeds*
2 Tbsp. chopped NOW Real Food® Natural Almonds*
Top with 1/2 cup milk or dairy-free milk alternative (e.g., one made from soy, rice, or oats) and 1 tsp honey
Optional: Add any of your favorite fruits in season.
  1. Placed well-rinsed quinoa with water and salt in a saucepan, cover and bring to a boil.
  2. Turn the heat to low, keep covered, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Divide quinoa between two bowls, adding one-half of the rolled oats on top.
  4. Top each bowl with half of the blueberries, pumpkin seeds and almonds.
  5. Serve with milk and honey.
