A lot has been written recently about the power of antioxidants to fight disease. The California Table Grape Commission has found a way to combine the antioxidants found in green grapes with those found in green tea to make an unusual jade-coloured smoothie.
Ingredients
1 cup (250 mL) green grapes
1/2 cup (125 mL) diced pineapple
1/2 cup (125 mL) cold water
1/2 cup (125 mL) ice cubes
2 tsp (10 mL) sweetened green tea powder
If green tea powder is unavailable, substitute 1/2 cup (125 mL) brewed and cooled green tea sweetened with 1 tsp (5 mL) sugar.
- To make one glass, simply puree all of the ingredients.
