NOW Receives NNFA and NBJ Awards for Social and Environmental Responsibility
NOW recently received two awards recognizing its efforts in the areas of social and environmental responsibility, which are two of its core values.
At the recent Natural Nutritional Foods Association (NNFA) Show in Las Vegas, company president Al Powers received an award for social responsibility that recognizes NOWs efforts to help people in communities served by its retail stores, as well as people around the world in support of its mission to empower people to lead healthier lives.
There are many people who cannot afford to purchase dietary supplements, and NOW is very active providing supplements and monetary resources that benefit people in remote countries like India. Over 30,000 cases of childhood blindness were prevented in India last year, in part due to NOWs support of an organization called the Vitamin Angel Alliance. NOW also supports the Healthy Foundation, which provides supplements to poor children in many school districts in the U.S.
At the recent Nutrition Business Journal (NBJ) Summit, Al Powers was presented with an award recognizing the companys efforts to support the environment and sustainability. This is the second year in a row NOW has won this award.
Said company president Al Powers about receiving the awards, It's really exciting to know that our mission and commitment to our core values is making a difference and benefiting people and our environment around the world!
