NOW receives the Earth Flag!  On October 24th 2006, Illinois's DuPage County Board presented NOW Foods with the Earth Flag for Business. The Earth Flag program, developed by Kay McKeen, Director of S.C.A.R.C.E. (School and Community Assistance for Recycling and Composting Education), is the first-of-its-kind in the U.S.   This county-funded program is administered by S.C.A.R.C.E for Dupage County .

 

The Earth Flag for Business award recognizes businesses for their ongoing commitment to the environment. NOW's efforts include extensive in-house recycling and waste reduction programs, volunteer-based community service, scheduled events and environmental education.
