Responsible for integrity of specific work area regarding attention to detail, material and paperwork accuracy and all elements associated with blending or the specific work center assigned. Accepts ownership for all safety, quality and efficiency expectations of area assigned. Learns and applies all policies and procedures for this position, including safety rules, good manufacturing practices, work rules, weight error charts, and sanitization practices. Operates all equipment in accordance with established safety policies. Ability to effectively train / communicate professionally with all departments / staff. Prepares work area at beginning of shift and cleans up work area at end of shift for next operator. Cleans area at end of production run to ensure area is ready for next job. Observes standards of personal and workplace cleanliness. Cleans or sanitizes all food contact surfaces between changes of product. Performs operator / helper scheduled maintenance checklist. Arranges boxes and other supporting supplies in a neat and orderly manner. Obtains raw materials in a timely manner. Places raw materials into machine; operates controls to activate machine. Observes machine operation to detect finished product defects or machine malfunction. Examines finished product to determine accuracy of machine operation. Performs minor machine maintenance.
