PACKAGING MANAGER
 
Job Description:
Provides assistance to the Engineering Department in the selection, layout, and installation of new equipment and the improvement of current equipment in the Packaging areas. Manages all activities of the Packaging departments. Cooperates with the Quality Control and Quality Assurance Departments to insure compliance with all quality SOP's. Supports the Quality and technical departments with any audits, be they GMP Certifications, Organic Certifications, or Audits by Government Regulatory Agencies. Maintains appropriate files for tracking batch and lot records. Tracks productivity and bonus number for all lines and employees in the Packaging department while meeting and exceeding efficiency standards. Supports all Customer Experience KPI’s. Complies with safety and GMP requirements.

PACKAGING HELPER I
 
Job Description:
Assists in the set-up of machines and the adding of bulk to totes. Performs sanitation of machines, totes, and other areas of production department. Identifies potential quality problems and notifies machine operators. Performs other tasks such as hand packing, bulk packing, displays, or related duties.

PACKAGING OPERATOR I
 
Job Description:
Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirement; sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template. Sets up and activates machine and observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. Cleans and assembles equipment on line according to standard operating procedures. Performs minor machine maintenance. Assists coworkers to set up machine, and to stack, mark, pack, and transport finished product.  Must be able to lift 60#.

SETUP/UTILITY PERSON
 
Job Description:
Distributes raw materials from staging areas to work stations. Moves foods, vitamins, other product raw materials and packaging materials from the staging areas to the individual work stations to meet the requirements of each Production Work Order and the production schedule. Moves finished goods-in-process from one work station to another. Returns unused raw materials to staging areas for return to the warehouse. Arranges unused raw materials according to the type of material (e.g., foods, vitamins, bottles, etc.) and places neatly on pallets. Moves the pallets into the designated staging area for return to the warehouse. Moves completed finished goods out of the Production area, after physical counts are confirmed and quality control work has been completed. Examines product for identity, damage, time stored and impurities; verifies that product, labels and date codes are correct. Complies with safety and GMP requirements.

Directs the Engineering Department in building design and construction. Evaluates manufacturing equipment purchases through various activities such as auctions. Seeks improvements in processing and packaging materials, methods, and equipment. Leads special projects involving process improvement for manufacturing. Maintains department data, records and reports on progress in meeting company goals. Maintains Procedures Manual and arranges for training to ensure it is understood and used. Complies with safety and GMP requirements.

PACKAGING SUPERVISOR
 
Job Description:
Maintains all packaging equipment. Interprets company policies, specifications and job orders to employees. Measures productivity on a daily basis, with goal of meeting standards. Develops/updates standard operating procedures (SOP's) for all department activities. Works with other supervisors to solve common issues and develop teamwork among all shifts. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Analyzes and resolves work problems and grievances, or assists employees in solving work problems. Maintains packaging records daily; fills out weekly reports as required. Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications. Monitors quality control as needed to determine that all products and packaging are neat, clean, and correctly packed and labeled. Lead the Safety and Quality improvements for his or her area, ensures the area meets all the Safety and GMP requirements. Complies with safety and GMP requirements.
